 Flexispy has several versions, starting with the Basic version, which has a similar feature-set to that of Mobile Spy. Other versions of Flexispy have an increasing feature set. Any version of Flexispy can be upgraded to a more fully-featured version at reduced cost.

 Spyera have three SPYPhone products for the iPhone, but there is no basic version – there are only more fully-featured versions.
Spyera also offer the only iPhone Spy App that does not require an annual renewal: SPYPhone Gold SMS Edition sends all events by SMS message, so there is no need for the ongoing cost of server storage. |
There is very little difference between the basic version of Flexispy and Mobile Spy. Both have very similar feature sets, except for the following:
- Flexispy will read the phone user’s contacts list and give you the name belonging to any numbers in the log.
- Mobile Spy will keep track of all URLs visited in Safari
So if a basic version is what you require and you want to buy a full year, you only have to decide which of the two above features is more important to you, and weigh the difference in cost: Mobile Spy costs $10.97 more, but comes with a free copy of SniperSpy – which is an excellent piece of software in its own right.
I have mentioned the Basic feature set several times already, so I should say what they are:
- Location tracking – the software uses the iPhone’s GPS receiver (iPhone 3G and 3GS only) to periodically update you with the phone’s current location.
- SMS Messages – read all SMS messages that are sent and received by the phone.
- Call logging – all incoming and outgoing calls are logged, along with a timestamp and duration.
However, for more advanced features, there are more fully-featured versions of Flexispy and Spyera that can meet your needs. Here is a list of features available in Spyera SPYPhone:
- Emails – read all incoming and outgoing email messages. Available in all editions of Spyera SPYPhone.
- Remote Control – control the software on the iPhone using SMS messages. Available in all editions of Spyera SPYPhone.
- Full text search – when you log into your account, get full text search facilities on all events. Available in SPYPhone Silver Edition and SPYPhone Gold Internet Edition.
- Download reports – when you log into your account, download reports in CSV, PDF and RTF formats. Available in SPYPhone Silver Edition and SPYPhone Gold Internet Edition.
- Spy Call – use the iPhone as a remote bugging device by placing an undetected secret call to the phone. Available in both editions of Spyera SPYPhone Gold Edition.
- SIM card change notification – informs you when the SIM card in the iPhone has been changed, and tells you the number of the new SIM card. Available in both editions of Spyera SPYPhone Gold Edition.
- Call Intercept – listen to live phone calls as they happen! Available in both editions of Spyera SPYPhone Gold Edition.
- For SPYPhone Gold Edition only, there is the option of either an annual server-hosted solution (SPYPhone Gold Internet Edition) or a version which alerts you to every event by sending SMS messages instead (SPYPhone Gold SMS Edition). For the SMS edition you pay for the software ONCE, and can use it for ever afterwards.
Finally, here is a list of features available in the more fully-featured versions of Flexispy:
